This week on Aliens Explored, Neil & Stu will be investigating the so-called UFO Death Riddle of Todmorden, West Yorkshire. In June 1980 a young police officer was sent out to investigate the mysterious – and very suspicious - death of a coal miner named Zigmund Adamski. This would prove to be just the beginning a series of events that would ruin the life and career of Police Constable Alan Godfrey.

In the early hours of the 20th of July, 2008, a Police Helicopter flying close to Cardiff Airport in Wales has a near miss with a UFO. The three crew members report it, and the story ends there. In 74 B.C. a great battle was to have been fought between the armies of General Lucius Licinius Lucullus pitted against Marius of Mithridates. But just as the two combatants were about to engage, a silvery object shaped like a ‘Pithos’ (Roman wine jug) fell between them, and unsettled them so much, both armies simply turned around and went home. Could this be the description of an alien intervention, saving tens of thousands of lives, or simply imaginations pushed over the edge by the stresses of the confrontation.
